Dark Eyes on Down Beat's Critics Poll (19.08.10) Tomasz Stanko Quintet's Dark Eyes has been ranked 8th on this years Down Beat's Critics Poll (best albums). Tomasz is ranked 4th in the Jazz Trumpeters -category.
Tomasz Stanko Quintet touring in U.S. (17.02.10)
Tomasz Stanko Quintet will be promoting the album "Dark Eyes" in U.S in April 2010. Tour will include performances at SF Jazz Festival 11 April and Birdland, New York 13-17 April among others.

Olavi Louhivuori Quartet (04.08.09)
Olavi Louhivuori has invited three great scandinavian musicians to join him in a brand new band. Olavi Louhivuori Quartet will have danish Jakob Bro on guitar, norwegian Mats Eilertsen on bass and finnish Aili Ikonen on vocals. The quartet will perform in Helsinki and Jyväskylä on 2nd and 3rd of september, and record an album in YLE M1 -studios. The quartet plays new music composed by Louhivuori.

Ilmiliekki Quartet is about to release an album with a great finnish singer Emma Salokoski.The album is consisted of swedish tratidional folk songs as well as originals. The album will be in stores on 26th of August.

Tomasz Stanko Nordic Quintet (Alexi Tuomarila;pno, Jakob Bro;gtr, Anders Christensen;bass, Olavi Louhivuori; drs) will be recording their debut album for ECM. The sessions are held in the prestigious LaBuisson -studios in Southern France between 27-29 April.
New album out from Sun trio (28.12.08)
Sun trio (Kalevi Louhivuori;trp, Olavi Louhivuori;drs, Antti Lötjönen;bass) will release their debute album in january 2009. The new album 'Time Is Now' was recorded in Jyväskylä, Finland, in december 2007. It will be released by CAM Jazz Records and distributed worldwide.
Mats Eilertsen Quartet touring and recording (01.07.08)
Norwegian bassist Mats Eilertsen´s new quartet is touring Norway and Japan in September-October 2008. The new band includes Mats Eilertsen on bass, Tore Brunborg on sax, Thomas T Dahl on guitar and Olavi Louhivuori on drums. The quartet will also spend few days in a studio during the tour.

Louhivuori´s debut album as a solodrummer is out in couple of weeks. The name of the coming CD is Inhale Exhale. Louhivuori describes the material as a strange mixture of ambient, electronica and improvisation.
